Welcome! I'm Betsy Campbell, one of the full-time faculty members within
the
IT Dept. at North
Seattle Community College. Teaching Background: I've been teaching here for the past 10 years. The subjects I'm most interested in are: Visual Basic, Linux, and Systems Analysis.
Work Experience: Prior
to my teaching career, I worked at Safeco Insurance Co. as a Programmer,
Systems Analyst and Manager. I also had a chance to work in the network
support area at Data I/O and Korry Electronics during a sabbatical I took several years
ago.
The experience though that I am most excited about, was working at Boeing this
past Summer through their faculty fellowship program.. Working with some of their
VB developers gave me a good understanding of their application development process and
the techniques they use. I even had a chance to spend some time with their
Unix Admin. folks and got to pick their brains! This is an exciting field to be
in. And for me....teaching is the ultimate. Computers and Teaching - two of
my passions. I'm so fortunate to be able to combine them both. Feel free to email me if you have questions about any of the
