A few announcements going into the last few days...
Yes, on Monday, I will play a movie (assuming my DVD works in the classroom -- no reason why it shouldn't, but given the black cloud over me recently, I'm feeling a bit paranoid). Prior to telling you about the movie, I wanted to check the length to make sure I could show it, and it fits! It is a REAL movie, with REAL stars and everything... you may have seen it, or not, it was kind of a sleeper film. It's called GATTACA, stars Ethan Hawke. It's set in futuristic times when genetic engineering of children has gotten to the point that even minor imperfections (myopia, for one) make one an "outcast". Bring refreshments... I don't have time to make cookies this weekend, alas.
I also reread all of the objectives to make sure I covered everything in class, and yes, I did. However, do email me if anything is confusing in the least.
Tuesday will finish off with your evaluations of me. If there are any topics from the entire quarter that you particularly want to review, bring them -- or let me know ahead of time, even. Unfortunately when I bring review material, I sometimes misjudge and end up talking about things the class already has mastered -- but I can't read minds...
In terms of office hours next week: my best availability looks like Th afternoon. I don't know how well that sits with everyone. I can also get in a bit before class on Tuesday if that helps, if anyone really needs (but won't do so unless by special request).
I think I've covered everything! Good luck going into the final stretch! And I really hope we get summer soon!

Anyway, if you're reading, I updated the LO for chapter 19 to incorporate the additional material. I hoep I remember to announce in class!

Welcome to a new quarter! I am starting to build the class website -- the lsat quarter just ended, so please be patient with me (and up until last night, there were threats to pull the class due to low enrollment, so I had prioritized other courses ahead of this one). Not all of the labs have been fleshed out, so do be cautious of dates -- I will list them for you and post more labs as I write them. Also, it will be handy if you print out powerpoint slides for my lectures -- you may prefer that, though it is not required. I will post my lectures well in advance for you, and I'll do my best to give you warning before we start a new chapter!
