Current Focus

12008 - Volunteer to organize activities and events for residents of extended care facility.

1996 - Present     Program Coordinator, e-Learning Support Center of North  Seattle Community College.  Working to facilitate the successful operation of the Distance Learning program which implements course instruction through a variety of modes. i.e.. Online, Videocassette, Teleweb, and Multi-site Interactive Television.

Reading textbooks to tape.  As a volunteer service to North Seattle Community College's office of Disability Services.

1995 - Present    Self employed and enjoying the work of giving life to my vision of providing Supportive Living Services as my own business. Independent Contractor to Division of Developmental Disabilities within Washington State's Department of Social and Human Services.  Currently contracted to provide Instructional, Behavior Management, and Medicaid Personal Care services.

I truly value transformation and find myself driven to Facilitate personal growth in my Self.  Astrology, tarot, physical exercise are all tools that I work with to enable my goals of personal development and transformation.
Relinquishing judgment where it serves to be destructive and debilitating.
 

Education and Experience

A.A.S degree in Human Services with additional training in Early Childhood Education. 

A vacation escort with People and Places, Inc., she has escorted groups of 6-8 adults to vacation destinations such as New York City, the Finger Lakes region, and Disney World in Florida.

Moved to Seattle in 1990 and worked the next 6 years in the Jobsource Division of  Northwest Center Industries, the Pacific Northwest's largest vocational service provider to people with developmental disabilities.  She has experience with developing job opportunities and placement as well as on the job training and supervision to small groups and individuals employed in the community.  She specializes in developing Behavior Management programming and has an extraordinary ability to maintain composure and focus during high stress situations.

1997  Awarded Certificate of Achievement in Entrepreneurship from North Seattle Community College
 

Personal Interests

Carol's personal interests are music, dance, travel, writing, nature and conservation.  Current projects include transferring books to tape, developing a "Body Book ~ Journal of Physical Well-Being" for publication, and designing a curriculum for teaching Caregivers of adults with developmental disabilities.  Working steadily to develop an off-the-grid lifestyle that uses alternative energies such as biodiesel and solar power.  Also making headway on a goal of developing a permaculture.
