You can find good online articles in a library database. A database contains different types of information, including articles from websites, books, magazines, or encyclopedias.

When you use these databases from off campus, you will need to log in with your last name and student ID number.

Books

Reference books cannot be checked out. You can use them to begin your research. Examples:

Circulating books can be checked out. Examples:

Circulating books are books that can be checked out. These books will often give you more in-depth information on your area of research.

To find a book you first need to learn the location and call number. Start with an Advanced Search:

Remember to check availability and the call number of the books you find:

If the book isn't at North, you can request books from the libraries at South or Central Community College. This book is at South, but you can click on "Request Item" to have it sent to North. If you need help, ask a librarian.
