Ernest Millar Hemingway (1899-1961) lived on the outskirts of Havana
for a number of years. His house has a spectacular view of Havana and
the bay. From this vantage point he could check the weather before
going out fishing in the boat that he moored in the harbor. He carried
on his writing here rather isolated from the city proper but had all
the amenities that anyone would want including a rather spacious
swimming pool. He undoubtedly used this spot for a good number of
parties.
