Taveuni Island is an hour or so away by island hopping plane from the
international airport at Nadi on Viti Levu. Taveuni is consequently
more unspoiled and less commercial. Unless you have a reservation it
might be difficult to find a place to stay. The principal draw to this
island is the spectacular soft coral formations and exotic fish such as
the rainbow eel that can be seen through various dive resorts
throughout the islands. This region is internationally known for the
nearby Rainbow Reef.
