"The Cobb, the last city of the Titanic", ©2006 Elroy

Cobb is an island community with a reputation as the last port that
many Irish emigrants visited. From here they could take a ship to
the United States. They claim that up to 80% of the
emigrants went through this port during the potato famine. It
also was the last port visited by the Titanic on its ill-faited
inaugural voyage.
