Kashmir

Dal Lake lies in the vale of Kashmir. Rides in the gondolas on a moonlite night are only missing a singing gondoler to make it as romantic evening as you could have on a canal in Venice. At this high altitude it is, however, a good deal cooler on a summer evening than in Venice and the couple usually needs to bundle up with blankets and hot coffee.
