Gunung Batur is a major dormant volcano on the island of Bali. The photo here is looking into the enormous caldera about 10 kilometers across. The volcano with the more recent rebuilding of the cone actually named Gunung Batur (1717 meters) is in the center (left in the photo). Lake Batur can be approached by trail or road and boated across. The most dominate volcano is Mt. Agung. It is 3142 meters high on whose sloop is the Pura Besakih, the mother temple of Bali.
