As a Coast Salish from British Columbia, she continues the north coast First Nation tradition.  She was born in Alert Bay on Cormorant Island off the east coast of northern Vancouver Island in 1952.  Although raised in one of art rich areas of  the Coast Salish she has done much research to develop her images and authenticate their stories.  This work was purchased and installed on the southern exterior of the Peter Ku Education Building in conjunction with the Percent for Art Program of the Washington State Arts Commission.
