Oliver is professor of American Indian Studies at the UW and serves as curator of contemporary Native American art at the Burke Museum on the UW campus. In addition, he holds a part-time post on the faculty of the University of Alaska, Ketchikan. He was a graduate student at the UW and studied under Jacob Lawrence.  You can find out more about him on the UW website.  


This work was purchased by the Art in Public Places in Partnership of the
Washington State Arts Commission and North Seattle Community College.

It is presently on display in a hallway on the lower level of the Wellness Center.
