Michael Wanke (b. 1956 - d. 1999) came back to school after having had a kidney transplant.
He completed this scene while he continued his battle with transplant rejection and eventually died of complications from the procedure.
This work was purchased by the students of North Seattle Community College
through the Associated Student Body funds.
The painting is presently in a conference room near the Registration and Cashiers offices.
