or any other Wow book.COURSE OUTCOMES/ LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
This course will give you the fundamentals of computer aided fine arts using various graphics programs and processes to create images in printed and digital forms. Emphasis will be placed on composition and effective use of the media toward larger format reproductions and creating a personal web page.
PROCEDURE:
Your artwork or images will be drawn, manipulated and scanned into various computer software included but not limited to Clariswork , Fractal Painter and Photoshop. Students will create assigned projects on computers from letter designs, computer drawn images, photos and scanned images learning the processes, proceedures and limitation for crossing from one program to another. Students will be expected by the end to have created, manipulated and converted their own images into their own personal digital portfolio on Syquest portable diskette and simple web page.
This course will give information and excercises toward an understanding of graphic manipulations using several techniques and computer processes.

A portfolio of at least 10 images that will be created as the class progresses.
GRADING:
Grades will be on a quality evaluation basis of the following:
a portfolio of at least ten computer generated/manipulated images of a very specific nature
a large scale photo transfer of a computer generated image and
the design and execution of the an operational web page of your artworks.
a visual final exam project intended to utilize the techniques learned in the quarter
MATERIALS Needed:
1 - 250 mg Zip portable harddisk - for the storage of large format images
(these are usually about $13 to $19 each available at CompUSA)
a computer access card
