Since my second year at Guanajuato I had lots of fun studying low-dimensional Topology, in particular how to create 3-dimensional manifolds by performing Dehn surgery along a knot. After my Master's degree I was adventourous enough that I continued to work towards a PhD, a degree that I did not complete.
Somehow the work I had completed so far was picked up by my Adviser and some collaborators and they were generous enough to have me listed as the co-author of a research paper in this area. There is a link
