Timeline:

The key point to remember when using HTML lists is that there is a tag for defining the list itself, and a different tag for identifying each item on the list.  The actual information that you show to a user is always contained in a list item.

Budget:

In a table, there is one tag for the entire table, and yet another tag for each cell in a row.   The actual information that you show to a user is always contained in a cell.  Only row tags are contained within a row tag container.  That's it -- data in cells; cells inside of rows; rows inside of tables!
