what they’ve always needed, a voice. Erin Gruwell comes to a southern California
high school bubbling over with naive optimism. She quickly discovers that her
unruly classroom is not easily won over by her good intentions. After a few
floundering attempts to connect with her students, Gruwell gives them the
assignment of keeping journals about their own lives, This assignment is
something that the class can bite into with relish. This eventually bonds them
together and pushes racial rivalries aside. Draws heavily from the published
journals of the real students themselves. Cast: Hilary Swank, Patrick Dempsey.

quick than Mireille. What will happen when these two meet?

educational system. He has taken a leave of absence from college to "find
himself." "Poor thing," says Mireille, "were you lost?"

discussing education. Neither notices that a strange man in black has taken an interest in
their conversation.

their apartment with a little help from someone who turns out to be a TV weatherman.

real estate. The doorbell rings, and Marie-Laure returns to say it was a fake nun with a
big moustache selling raffle tickets.
[VHS 300] 35. Residences IV: The Belleaus's doorbell rings again. Marie-Laure reports that
it was a man in black asking if she had a sister who looked like an actress. Robert tries
in vain to arrange room and board at the Belleaus's.
[VHS 300] 36. Entertainment I: After dinner, everyone says goodnight except Mireille and

stay relatively normal. Who’s right? Decide for yourself as this riveting and
