I received my Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Biology from DePauw University in 1990, and my Master's of Science Degree in Zoology from Miami University in 1992. My research at Miami University was in the area of animal physiological ecology as I studied the natural freeze tolerance of vertebrates (specifically, the wood frog, Rana sylvatica).
