Advanced Martial Arts (PEC 106)

Advanced instruction in the training methods, techniuqes and principles of martial arts and self-defense. Emphasis given to the intercultural, language, philosophical and religious influences involved in the development of various Asian martial arts systems. Special emphasis given to the basic study and practice of Goju Ryu Karate-Do, Judo, Jujutsu, Akido, and Chin Na. Individualized for students who have successfully completed PEC 105 or have previously studied martial arts and have obtained formal rank of brown belt or above. 2 credits.
