Beginning Physical Fitness (PEC 150)

Basic instruction on how to develop, execute, and maintain individualized fitness programs. Training programs presented emphasize the development of health-related fitness components, including cardiorespiratory fitness, muscular strength, muscular endurance, and flexibility. A variety of activities is presented, along with information on how to individualize and modify programs to meet present and future objectives. May include lecture/discussion material pertaining to fitness, nutrition, anatomy and physiology, biomechanics, safety, and wellness. 2 credits.
