Welcome to the Exciting World
of International Business and Marketing!

About the Instructor

As a former international marketing consultant who served as liaison to multinational corporations and small, entrepreneurial enterprises, I am responsible for a number of business and marketing courses at North Seattle Community College.

Prior to joining the college in 1997, I was a professor at the University of Helsinki, developing courses in International Business English and Business Communication.  I also served as special guest lecturer on the history, laws, and institutions of the European Union.  I was a resident of Finland during the Finnish accession to the European Union; those were incredibly exciting times!  The unbridled exuberance and stalwart determination of the Finnish people will always evoke fond memories of an inspirational journey that became a way of life.

Having lived and worked throughout Europe for nearly 15 years, my perspective on international business and marketing is unique, sometimes provocative, but always informative.

I have a keen interest in globalization and in globalizing the curriculum at North Seattle Community College, to empower all our students as they become global learners in the 21st century.
